Green politicians at Sydney Event for world wide UN Climate Change Summit Rally – 21st Sept. 2014

Thousands of Sydney residents joined many more around the world today in what is hoped will be the biggest climate change rally ever. The local event was in Bicentennial Park Glebe. The UN Climate Change Summit itself starts on the 23rd of September in New York.

Peoples Climate Mobilisation Australia rally (Sunday 21 at noon) in Bicentennial Park, Glebe on Sunday September 21 to coincide with the UN Climate Summit 2014.

“On September 21 2014, world leaders will be touching down in New York City for the UN’s emergency summit on climate change. Light rail agreement signed between Randwick Council and TfNSW setting Greens High Cross Park rescue plan in play – 4th September 2014

“Confused ideology” was left behind at Randwick Council last night with the rejection of a final rescission motion against the signing of the CBD to South East Light Rail (CSLER) development agreement. Greens Councillor Lindsay Shurey said after the meeting that Council can now focus on protecting High Cross Park.
