CSELR: Listen to Randwick Council and save our park trees
Liberal Coogee MP Bruce Notley-Smith should be counseling the Transport Minister to move decisively to use Council’s designs and good will to save the trees of both High Cross Park and those of Centennial Park.
It is not too late to rethink the highly unpopular northern light rail alignment along Alison Road.
High Street could be used (as Randwick Council favoured in 2011) or it could go back to the south side of Alison Road. Council has allocated $100,000 (on my Greens motion) for consultants to assess alternative alignments.
