Randwick Councillor Murray Matson reiterated Randwick-Botany Greens concerns that the St Peters interchange will funnel more car congestion from the Westconnex into his Council’s suburbs of Kingsford and Kensington.

Councillor Matson said he applauded Jenny Leongs’ protest at the interchange site. He commented:

“It is of great concern to me that the construction of the Westconnex motorway has proceeded with very little debate on how many extra cars will be trying to exit from it into Kingsford and Kensington from the interchange . Cars just don’t vanish from congestion calculations when they leave a motorway.”
